1 Available Report Types

There are several types of report available, standard reports and custom reports. Furthermore, you can have your favorite reports.

The following table describes the report types:

Report Type Description
Standard reports

Standard reports are curated reports available to all users. They serve as

  • Commonly used reports
  • Sample reports to get started on building customized reports
  • Sample reports to showcase certain reporting capabilities (e.g. a new data column, a new type of visualization)

Note: Standard reports cannot be edited, but they can be run or duplicated by all users.

Custom reports

Individual reports built with the Report Designer. The Report Designer is a tool that allows you to create custom reports by selecting the dimensions and metrics you require.

Favorite reports Favorite reports are reports marked by a user as favorites to be able to quickly access them. In My Favorite Reports group, you can see reports marked as favorites only by your user.
Scheduled reports

Scheduled reports are reports that are delivered on a regular basis according to a user's specification. Any custom report can be scheduled at any time.  

There are 3 general steps to scheduling a report:

  • Pick your frequency
  • Pick your delivery location and method
  • Pick your filters and pre-select them

Note: Scheduling can be applied to any new or previously created custom report.

Trend/trending reports

Trending reports allow you to monitor changes in selected metrics in relation to previously collected data. Using the trending report feature, you can get valuable insights on your videos and/or ads by seeing changes in comparison to data collected in the previous hour, day, week, month or year.

Note: Trending is available to Table, Area chart, Line chart, and Column chart only. It is not available for other section types.

Limitations

  • Can only be used with one of the following supported dimensions in each section - Dynamic Date, Hour, Date, and Month. 
  • Supported section types - Available only for: Table, Area chart, Line chart, and Column chart section types.
  • Total row is not supported with the trending reports.

Forecasting reports

Forecasting reports allow you to see predicted future changes in your metrics based your historical data analysis.

By default, forecasting reports run only for 'This week' to ensure that forecasted data is presented. If you set a 'Custom Range' that includes a future date, the report will project your metrics across that selected date range.

In the report, the historical data is represented by a solid line and the forecasted data is represented by the dotted line.

Note: If your report is set to show only historical data, forecasting cannot be displayed.

Limitations

  • Can only be used with one of the following supported dimensions in each section - Dynamic Date, Date, and Month. 
  • Supported section types - Available only for: Table, Area chart, Line chart, and Column chart section types.
  • Total row is not supported with the trending reports.
